International/General Certificate of Secondary Education (I/GCSE)
The International / General Certificate of Secondary Education (I/GCSE) curriculum is taught in YEAR 11 and YEAR 12.
It allows students the flexibility to do arts subjects alongside with science subjects. Students who take the standard 2-year I/GCSE programmes normally study seven to ten subjects.
Passing grades are 9 to 4 (or grade A*-C in the old grading scale) and students are expected to gain a minimum of 5 passes at grade 4 to qualify for I/GCSE examinations.

CAIE Examinations is part of the University of Cambridge, and its I/GCSE examinations are open to all international students aged 14-16 around the world, and there are many students in China who take the IGCSE exams of CIE Examinations.
Edexcel's I/GCSE is designed specifically for international students and covers independent schools in more than 80 countries around the world, as well as in the UK.
The Oxford AQA Examinations Board is a joint venture between the AQA Examinations Board and Oxford University Press. AQA Oxford offers international GCSE and A-level courses for students from outside the UK.
